on this culinary tour Le Marais & The Gourmet Island, you will admire the most beautiful part of Paris, from medieval Gothic to Haussmannian architecture (from the Belle Époque period, the time of the Impressionists), and you will discover hidden places, less beaten by tourists. You will enjoy cheese samples paired with wine, yummy pasty and mouthwatering cakes. You will learn about French cuisine and the history of the monuments you pass by, spiced with anecdotes and real, funny stories.

Meeting point

The tour starts in Quai des Célestins (at the exit of the Pont Marie Metro station, Line 7, at the street level). Other details will be provided upon booking.

The tour ends on the New Bridge (Pont Neuf), the oldest bridge in Paris From here, you can embark on a new adventure, figuratively but also literally, a one-hour cruise, on the legendary Seine River! (Not included).

  • Being a 3/4 hour walking tour, we do not recommend it for small children and pregnant women. However, Infants (0-5) can join the tour for free.

  • The tour starts at 10:00 local time (AM) and runs from Tuesday to Sunday. See the tour calendar (here).
  • The group size is a maximum of 10 people. If you like to book a private tour, send us an email.
  • The tour runs in English.
  • The length of the tour varies between 3½ and 4 hours.
  • The tour is designed for adults but Infants (0-5) can join the tour for free.
  • Most tastings take place standing up.
  • During this tour, we will sit at a table and taste food for about 50 min.
Meeting & Finishing Point
  • The tour starts in Saint-Médard Square area. Other details will be provided upon booking.
  • The tour ends in Quai de Montebello, close to Petit Pont, a stone's throw from Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral.

100% refund for cancellation at least 24 hours in advance (Paris time). No refunds will be given for customers who cancel with less than 24 hours notice (Paris time), or arrive late (and are therefore unable to join the group), or don’t show up at all (no-show).

For tourists who book tours for the day of their arrival in Paris, please be aware that we do not offer refunds in case of delayed flights or trains, as this is not our fault and happens quite often.
